Lexington Children’s Museum is open from 10:00 – 5:00 Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00 – 5:00 on Sundays. The Museum is closed on Mondays.

The museum does not have its own parking lot. Metered parking is available on Short St. and Algonquin St. The Victorian Square parking garage located at 350 W. Short St. on the corner of Broadway and Short St. Refer to LexPark for pricing and more information.

If you would like to avoid poor weather, the Victorian Square parking garage has a pedway on the third floor that connects to Victorian Square. Go down to the second floor and follow the wayfinding signs to enter the museum from within the building.

The museum is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. If there are any special closings or openings, they will be listed on our home page.

Guests ages 2 and up are $10 per person and can be purchased at our admissions desk. We provide discounted $8 tickets for teachers and 65+. Lexington Children’s Museum is a Museums for All Partner providing $3 tickets for families who present a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

Tickets can be purchased online; however, it is not required.

Lexington Children’s Museum offers various membership levels for families to enjoy all year round! We do allow families to pay the difference of their admission tickets and the membership cost if they decide to purchase a membership the same day as their admission.

Most families play for 1-2 hours, but admission is good through the entire day!

The museum currently caters to children up to 10 years of age, however, children (and adults) of all ages can learn through play!

The museum does not allow food or drinks in the museum. Only water is permitted in the museum.

Looking for lunch or dinner before or after your visit? There are several restaurants around the museum your family will enjoy. Ask our VSS team for recommendations.

The museum’s gift shop is open during museum hours and available to all persons (not just museum visitors).

While we recommend leaving strollers in the car, strollers are welcome. We offer stroller parking at our admissions area but also allow strollers to be taken throughout the museum. Valuables should not be left in unattended strollers.

For people needing elevator access, please note that the Museum’s elevator is located within the square, requiring some walking. Please inform the VSS desk that you need the elevator, and the team will provide directions.

Restrooms are available on the first and second floors of the museum.

Changing Tables are available in the Women’s restroom on both the first and second floors, and the Men’s restroom on the second floor.

Unfortunately, the museum does not currently offer a nursing room.

By entering our facility, you have consented to having the Museum use you and your child(ren)’s image for social media purposes. If you wish not to be photographed, please inform our VSS staff upon entering.

The museum accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and Museum gift cards as forms of payment. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App are available for in person purchases.
