lexington children's museum experience fund
As we strive to make a lasting impact across the state, our goal is to ensure that every child is allowed the opportunity to learn through play. We offer various opportunities throughout the year for children from underserved and marginalized communities to visit LCM or experience other LCM activities and programs. Specifically the Experience Fund supports:
Reduced/Free Admission
In partnership with Museums For All, we offer reduced cost admission for low income families, reduced cost for children from Title 1 schools, and free admission passes for local non-profit partners to support the children they serve.
Specialty Programming
The museum hosts "Sensory Hours" for children with sensory sensitivities. These hours allow families to experience LCM in a low sensory environment outside of operating hours. Sensory Hours are sponsored by The Murry Foundation.
Free Programming
Lexington Children's Museum hosts tables at various school nights and community events and fairs. Many of these events include free LCM programming.
